I was not the best pregnant patient the second time around due to a traumatic birth experience the first time around. My doctor was no longer doing deliveries, but because I spent 8 days in labor & delivery during my miracle baby’s birth I met all the doctors in the Rodeo Drive Women’s Health Center, while in labor. Dr. Toubi was the most positive doctor by far about having a 23-weeker, so I chose her for round two.
Fast forward to exactly a year later, when I delivered a full-term baby with Dr. Toubi expecting a baby in a few short weeks herself. I was anxious and crying essentially at every visit and the emotions affected my experience of physical pain, which had to be annoying, but Dr. Toubi was able to work with my PTSD to give me the birth experience I wish I’d had the first time. She’s the best. Even if you are lucky enough to have a perfect pregnancy and delivery, you would want someone as compassionate and competent as Dr. Toubi.
